REFERRAL!!!

WOW. Just WOW! I can't believe I just posted two days ago about how hard the waiting is.

I am so filled with joy and peace today.

Wednesday afternoon (same day I posted that last post), we received the new "waiting child" video from our agency. We popped it in and there he was. It was instantly clear. We watched the whole video, looked at the other boys around his same age, went back and watched his segment again. Mike looked at me and said: "That's him." We requested his file from the agency the same day and have spent the last two days praying, asking friends to pray with us, reviewing the file with our homestudy social worker (who also prayed with us) and talking and praying with other adoptive parents. Today, we accepted the referral of a little boy named Tinsaye (say the "aye" with a long /i/ sound like "Tins-eye").

His name means "Resurrection." Here we are, a week before Easter, and the name of the child God promised us almost exactly a year ago, is "Resurrection." Wow.

I so wish I could share his picture with you, he has the SWEETEST dimples!! But we are not allowed to post pictures on the Internet until after our case is approved in Ethiopian court.

Everyone's first question is: when will he be here? My best guess ... BEST case scenario he could be home by July/August. BEST case scenario.

I am so humbled to be used by God to care for His children. So incredibly humbled!!!

Julie...ya'll KNOW how excited I am! It's so neat how the Lord introduced us to each other through sonlight, how we've been praying for each other & now you are getting the child I've been praying for. God handpicked the BEST family for Tinsaye and I'm so excited to watch your story unfold.

It IS such a privilege to be CHOSEN to be a parent whether through birth or adoption, but adoption has a special calling on it and a special blessing. The Lord has already gone before you to make your way smooth- you can trust Him to lead you safely to your son and back!
What a beautiful testimony God is giving to you and your family!! May He be glorified and may all who see your journey be drawn to the Giver of ALL good gifts.
Blessings,
Holly in NC
