Update & a Tinsaye Report

Well ... we spent the whole day at the NC Zoo, which was awesome by the way, and I was really hoping to have some info in my email when we got back, but alas, I did not, so I finally just picked up the daggone phone and called!

Our case manager said she still didn't have an update for us, but that the Orphanage Director in ET will meet with the attorneys on Wednesday or Thursday to get updates on all the cases, so she should have information about our case (i.e. a new court date) then and will let us know as soon as she has it. Plus, the person going to the Embassy on Wednesday for Embassy appointments will get an update about our visa situation on Wednesday as well.

So, it looks like Wednesday will be a big day for us information-wise.

At first, I was a little bummed to have to wait a couple more days, but then ......... I got this email from Tana about Tinsaye (she addressed both me and another friend, so the first paragraph is about both of them):

Quote:
I wanted to tell you both a little about your boys while everything is still fresh in my mind. It's really kind of uncanny, but in many ways, they are very similar to each other. My husband and I were talking about him last night in the car and how Tinsaye and Biruk both just stood out from the crowd. They are all beautiful children who are deserving of families, but there is a light about your boys that is just different. They are both gentle, sweet, and mild- mannered, and they are children that anyone could pick out of that crowd of kids as being "different" somehow. Where the other kids would clamor all around us and shout, "photo, photo!" your boys were more reserved and polite and shy. I don't really know how to put the feelings I got into words, but my husband and I both picked up on it. They are VERY special boys with sweet, gentle spirits....

....Julie, we saw Tinsaye probably three different times, so his pictures were taken over a few days too (although he was wearing his school uniform on two of the days so those photos look like they were taken on the same day.) He has AMAZING hair! It is thick and wavy, and so cute! Tinsaye would also unobtrusively sidle up next to me whenever he saw us and wait quietly for me to take his picture. I told him that you guys are so excited to come and get him and that you love him. On our last day there, the kids around him helped him compose a short letter to you, which I wrote down and will send to you. He signed his name on it, and he was so excited to know you'd be getting a letter from him. If you'll send me your address again, I'll get it in the mail!
*THAT* kind of an update will keep me going until Wednesday.

Oh man, the waiting must be killer - but knowing that he knows you love him, and has written to you, and is such a sweet, polite boy. Oh how wonderful.

I'm so happy and excited for you. =)
