It went GREAT! Christine (our SW) arrived at EXACTLY 7:00 and the minute we sat down and started talking, I felt like I was sitting across the table from an old friend, catching her up on our lives. It was very comfortable. She's actually an adoptive parent herself (and I was getting some vibes that she's interested in adopting again from Ethiopia!!! Her first adoptive dd is from China) and so she kept relating: "Oh yeah ... when we were doing this ...". And she kept saying stuff like: "I'm so glad you won't have a huge long wait for your referral" so she was really reassuring that this homestudy process is more about her "getting to know us so she can present us on paper to the Ethiopian government" rather than "approving" us.
So ... over all: TWO BIG HUGE THUMBS UP!!!! I will be MUCH more relaxed before our next meeting on the 27th, I am sure, now that the first one is behind us! Thank you SOOOO much for your prayers -- they were DEFINITELY felt!
Oh ... and I know that everyone has told me not to go overboard on cleaning, but ... you could eat off my kitchen floors right now if you wanted to ... not that you'd want to ... but just in case!

Found your blog from the SL posts!
So wonderful to hear your progress! We're pursuing an adoption in China, and my husband is already talking about a second from Ethiopia down the road a ways. I'll be checking in on you as you brave these waters first!
