Well, friends, six months ago, my husband and I stepped out in faith and began our adoption journey. We knew we had about the first third of the adoption costs in the bank, but we had NO IDEA how we were going to find the remaining $10,000 to complete the adoption (well, it was $10,000 at that time, fees have gone up since then and it's now more like $12,500). I felt like I was looking out over a crowd of 5000 people with only 5 loaves and a couple of fish saying: "I have this small provision, but it's not nearly enough. How are we going to feed them, Lord?" (John 6:1-24)
Through a WILD course of events, God has taken our small provision and multiplied it extraordinarily! In short, in the last three weeks, I have been recommended for, interviewed, and hired to work part-time (20 hours per week) FROM HOME (we are still homeschooling one of our children and my littlest is still home as well so being able to work from home is an AWESOME provision) for a Christian School in our area as their Development Officer. This job so perfectly matches my skills and gifts -- I am SO excited about it!!! The initial contract is for six months because they are hiring me mid-budget cycle. The compensation for the initial contract will cover about 60% of the rest of our adoption costs !!!
We're still praying that we'll receive a couple grants or gifts because we're about $4000 short (by current projections) plus because we'll be spending all our savings on the adoption, we will need some income next summer to supplement our budget since I almost definitely won't be working while we get Isaiah assimilated into the family. But, I remain absolutely committed to trusting the LORD with these details! HE IS SO FAITHFUL!
But anyway ... I just had to share with you how God is providing for our yet-to-be-found son!!! And I'm so delighted that in gathering that provision, I will get to use my gifts to the glory of the Lord, AND do it from home so I can ALSO continue homeschooling my DD and staying here with my little DD as well!!
God is SO good to fulfill ALL the desires of my heart and provide for us so abundantly in the process!! Thanks be to God!

Julie, this is great news!! The Lord is so good! Congratulations!
Julie,
This is beyond exciting, & we love hearing how the Lord continues to bless & bestow.
The job is soooo 100% you---exciting to think of the ways you will help this group as they help you financially. God's soverignity is certainly apparent in these latest events, just as it was in the early ones.
Love, prayers, & congrats,
Prissy & Clayton
Yes, He is so faithful to provide!
Just what we need, just in time!
Oh my gosh! That is just INCREDIBLE! What a huge blessing from our Father in Heaven.
I don't know why I'm constantly surprised at the evidences of His love and tender mercies to us. He is always there. I'm sooo grateful to Him, and so thankful for this blessing for your family. =)
