On house news: our house is going on the market tomorrow!! Amazing! Inventory is low right now, so we're going to take advantage of that and see what happens. We are asking God to take control and exact His perfect will here, so we will be content to stay here if it doesn't sell, but the market is certainly ripe for it.
I've spent this week cleaning out the kids' rooms!!! WOW! I was really amazed at all the places socks, underwear and lolly-pop wrappers can hide!!!! But, truly -- their rooms look SOOOOO much better! I should have taken some before/after pictures ... you wouldn't believe it! Of course, most of their toys are residing in the garage for storage, but their rooms look excellent and it will be much easier to do a quick cleanup for a showing if we only get a few moments' notice. I really tried to keep that in mind.
Tonight will be a late night though. Mike and I will be doing all those last minute chores late into the evening, I'm sure. Here's a list of what we hope to accomplish:
- Caulk around the backsplash in the kitchen
- Clean both bathrooms
- Clean the windows
- Wash a few dirty spots on the walls
- Take out the tall shelves in the girls' room
- Clean out my work dresser (which is going INTO the girls' room)
- Move white dresser into the girls' room and put their clothes into it
- Spread the new pine straw out front (yes, we very well might be spreading pine straw at midnight, in the rain!!!!)
