Dossier Update

Whew!! I've completed everything for our dossier that we could complete here at home without a notary (which wasn't too much!!!) and put that into a file folder. For everything else, I've gotten it all organized this afternoon and sorted into different file folders according to its status (needs to be notarized; needs to be completed by someone else and notarized, needs to be authenticated, etc. Yes, I am THAT much of a geek!). I created a handy-dandy excel checklist with all my dossier tasks for the week (even BIGGER geek!), printed it out and hung it on my note board above my desk. According to this, if all goes well, we SHOULD be able to get our dossier DONE and MAILED to AAI by the end of THIS WEEK!!!

I originally (way back in May) said that I hoped our dossier could be in Ethiopia by Christmas. Do you think that's still possible??? (I don't know ... some folks at the embassies would have to move awfully fast! But, maybe by New Year's!)

In other news: We did see an AWFULLY sweet little 5yo boy on the Waiting Child Video this weekend. I've gone back to look at him three or four times now! Of course, I'd bring them all home if I could... :-)

Oh ... one other bit of news and a prayer request of sorts: We were contacted on Friday by Shaohannah's Hope with a request for further information. I don't know if this means we made the initial cut, but they did state that the additional information would aid the Grant Review Board in making their decision as they are currently reviewing October applications. We will also find out tomorrow (hopefully) if there will be adoption benefits available through the company that is assuming Mike's current company. So, many thanks in advance for prayers covering both those things!!!

Good for you!

Speaking from experience...that is hard to keep organized!

Our agency did give us a list like that, though, so that made it a bit easier.
